Hi, I am Linwei!

I am a Ph.D. student in the Department of Communication Arts at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. I earned my M.A. in Theory of Art and Culture (Artistic Communication concentration) from Nanjing University in 2025, and my B.A. in Musicology and Accounting from Xiamen University in 2022.

My research interests focus on:
1) Mediated Music and Sound Studies; 
2) Digital Platforms and Digital Cultures; 
3) Feminist Media Studies.

My past and ongoing research have focused primarily on qualitative research methods (e.g., semi-structured interviews, ethnography, app walkthrough method, critical media industry studies approach etc.)
